Miss Thailand World 2012 was held last night and Vanessa Muangkod was chosen to represent Thailand in this year’s edition of Miss World that will be held in Mongolia. The runner-up position went to Boonyisa Chatrarachai and Chawanluck Unger Moksiri, 1^st and 2^nd runners-up respectively.

Miss Philippines Gwendoline Ruais Is Miss World 2011 1st Runner-up!

Miss Philippine Gwendoline Ruais was crowned 2nd to the new Miss World Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela. Ruais was ranked third overall in the semifinals leader board with Puerto Rico and Venezuela as 1st and 2nd respectively.

Amanda Vilanova of Puerto Rico was declared 3rd runner up!

GMA Network televised the first Miss World Philippines Pageant last night under the new franchise director Miss Cory Quirino. 25 girls vied for the title and reigning Miss World Alexandra Mills of the United States crowned the winner of the event.

Gwendolyn Ruais will represent the country at the upcoming 61^st edition of the Miss World Beauty Pageant in London on November 6, 2011.
