Ecuador’s Maria Fernanda Cornejo was crowned Miss International 2011 in the glimmering and festive finals of the pageant at Sichuan Opera Threater in Chengdu, China last night.
Cornejo was the first winner of the title from her crown and she bested out 66 other candidate for the crown

2nd - Tugsuu Idersaikhan of Mongolia
3rd - Desiree Del Rio of Puerto Rico
4th - Panama’s Keity Mendieta

It should be noted that Japan who hosted the pageant for so many years didn’t place for the first time in 18 years.
